Official Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
  2. Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, The Cow is Loose (the "Sweepstakes") is open to U.S. residents (except in the State of Florida, Rhode Island, and Puerto Rico and where otherwise prohibited by law or regulation), 18 years or older at the time of entry. Proof of age may be required.   Employees of Top Cow Productions, Inc., Spacedog Inc., Mazda USA, Peavey Guitars, Screen Gems, and each of their respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all Federal, State and local laws.
  3. How To Enter. The Sweepstakes will begin at 9:00 a.m. P.S.T. on March 1, 2006 and end at 5:00 p.m. P.S.T. on December 1, 2006 (the "Sweepstakes Period). Enter by visiting the The Cow Is Loose official registration page on the www.topcow.com/thecowisloose website and completing all of the required information and following all instructions. Submit your entry by clicking on the "SEND" button. Maximum one (1) entry per person.
    Sponsor will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected, illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the email account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an email account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such email account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with such email account. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an email account shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the "Sweepstakes".
  4. Winner Selection. Two (2) Grand Prize Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received by the entry deadline to be held on or about December 1, 2006. Additionally, forty (40) winners will be selected and awarded additional prizes in a random drawing throughout the duration of the Sweepstakes from eligible entries.
  5. Prizes and Odds. Grand Prize. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will win a Mazda RX8; approximate retail value of $28,000. One (1) Grand Prize winner will win a Peavey Guitar and amp; approximate retail value of $2,500. Forty (40) winners will receive a pair of tickets for a special Top Cow screening of Screen Gem’s The Covenant movie at the Sony Studios lot in Los Angeles, CA; approximate retail value of $20.  Cost of transportation to and from Sony Studio lot in Los Angeles, CA, accommodations, gratuities, and all other expenses not specified as part of prize package are the sole responsibility of winner. Prizewinners are solely responsible for all other expenses and applicable Federal, State and local taxes except as mentioned herein.   The prize is non-transferable. No prize or cash substitutions are permitted.    Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.   A Statement of Eligibility and Release of Liability Form and all legal documents which may be required (including a W-9 tax form) must be completed and signed by the winner at the time the prize is awarded.   Failure to comply with these conditions will result in forfeiture of prize and an alternate prizewinner being selected from the remaining eligible entries. Except where prohibited by law, by entering, winner consents to the use of his/her name, voice, likeness and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration with the understanding that it will be relied upon by Spacedog Inc. and any other sponsors in connection with the this contest.
  6. Drawing Methodology. Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about March 6, 2006 under the supervision of a representative of Spacedog, Inc.   Entrants need not be present at drawing to win.  
  7. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or U.S. Mail on or about December 16, 2006. Sponsor is not responsible if any potential winner notification is not received for any reason.   For instance, Sponsor is not responsible if a potential prize winner does not receive his or her winner notification or corresponding prize because a fraudulent or bogus e-mail address or other inaccurate contact information was provided at the time of entry or if the e-mail it sends to a potential prize winner is misdirected or bounces back or is intercepted by SPAM or other e-mail filters.   If any potential winner does not respond within seven (7) days of the first notification attempt, or if the prize is declined or a notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to any potential winner, such potential winner will forfeit his or her prize and an alternate winner may be selected. If any potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines a prize for any reason prior to award, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected at the discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor will successively attempt to contact up to two (2) potential winners of each prize in accordance with such procedure, and if there is still no confirmed winner of the prize in question after such attempts have been made, the applicable prize may go unawarded.   In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an online entrant, the online entry in question will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account from which it was sent.   The authorized account holder shall be the natural person to whom the applicable email address has been assigned by the Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.   A potential winner may be requested to provide the Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.   If a dispute cannot be resolved to Sponsor's satisfaction, the entry will be deemed ineligible.  Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned within ten (10) days of date of postmark. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release within ten (10) days, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner's disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner's consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor(s).
  8. Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sweepstakes judges. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by a virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
  9. Decision of the Judges:   All decisions of Spacedog Inc. regarding winner selection and this contest are final. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time for any reason without notice.
  10. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
  11. Promotion Rules:   Official contest rules are available on-line at www.topcow.com/thecowisloose or by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to:   Official Rules, The Cow is Loose, 2250 Betty Lane, CA 90210 between February 1, 2006 and February 28, 2006.
  12. Winners List:   For the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope between March 1, 2006 and March 31, 2006 to Winner's List, The Cow is Loose, 2250 Betty Lane, CA 90210.
  13. Sponsor. The Cow is Loose sweepstakes is sponsored by Spacedog Inc. The decisions of Sponsor and Sweepstakes judges regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Sweepstakes shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Sweepstakes.
